Early on, Jim Landon realized that service and integrity were needed in the Locksmithing industry, so he started his own company, Jim’s Locksmithing in 1988. Building his client base from different school boards to residential customers, to commercial clients. He now has a well established business.

Jim’s Locksmithing expanded it’s mobile operation to include a well known shop/retail area in January of 1993. Jim's Locksmithing located at 315 Algonquin Avenue in North Bay was once the home of "General Repair & Key Shop", also known as "Chee Chaw's", operated by Mr. Ernest Ricciuto.

With over 20 years experience, Jim’s Locksmithing employ’s 7 full time and 1 part time staff. We offer 24 hr emergency service. We handle practically everything to do with locks, including repairing and re-keying. We have Medeco, Abloy and other medium and high security locks. We carry a full line of architectural hardware. We sell and service security safes, both fire and burglary. We change safe combinations as well as open locked safes and repair the combination locks on them. We carry the “Hunter” line of automatic doors, both swingers and sliders but also service all other manufactures. We carry a complete line of padlocks. They can be ordered in keyed alike groups so that the same key fits all your padlocks. We have "weather tough protection" padlocks, which prevent the cylinders from jamming with sand, dirt and other contaminants. We also do night deposit repairs and safety deposit boxes drilled or repaired. We carry a complete line of automotive locks to key to your existing key. As well, if your locked out of your vehicle, we can get you inside and on your way. Many of the Roadside Assistance Company's use us as their contact. If you've lost your keys we can re-key your locks and igntion. At the shop we do sharpening of knives, scissors and skates.

Currently, we have 3 service trucks on the road performing mobile services to the North Bay and surrounding area. We service Mattawa or Sturgeon Falls area's as least once a week. We have done service work as far South as Huntsville and as far North as Cochrane.
